FAQ – Panama City Beach Jet Ski Rentals
Are jet skis safe?
Jet skis are safe when operated responsibly and with proper experience. Like any watercraft, they come with risks that can be minimized through adherence to safety guidelines, such as wearing life jackets, maintaining a safe distance from other vessels, and obeying speed limits and navigation rules.
However, accidents can still occur. Always be aware of your surroundings to mitigate any risks. Our goal is to ensure a safe experience for you and for others! For your safety, you must be 21 years of age or older to operate a jet ski. Children are welcome to ride along with an adult.
Who can rent a jet ski?
You must be 21 years of age or older to rent a jet ski. A credit card and photo ID that includes date of birth are required for all jet ski rentals.
Customers will be asked to complete the Boaters Safety Course >prior to arrival.
If you were born in or after 1988, you must have a Boater Safety License to operate a Jet Ski. Guests born in or after 1988 who do not have a Boater Safety License may operate the Jet Ski if they have a photo I.D. and meet ONE of the following criteria:
- They have a Temporary Florida Boater Certificate
- They are riding with someone born before 1988
- They are riding with someone born in 1988 or after who does have a United States Boater Safety License
Guests born before 1988 are not required to have a Boater Safety License to operate a Jet Ski.
Do I need to have previous experience to operate a jet ski?
Riders who plan on renting a jet ski and will NOT be participating in a guided tour are required to have prior experience. This is for the safety of the rider and anyone else on the water.
If you are renting a jet ski as part of a guided tour, you do not need prior experience; your guide will instruct you on how to operate the jet ski safely.
How many people can ride on a jet ski?
Each jet ski can accommodate up to 3 passengers or 400 lbs.
What’s included with my jet ski rental?
All jet skis are equipped with a wrist safety lanyard and fuel. We will also provide you with a map of the area and make sure you are comfortable navigating our local waters.
Do I need to bring my own life jacket?
No. We will provide life vests for everyone, including children.
What is your cancellation policy?
No refunds will be issued 48 hours before your tour or reservation time. You cannot cancel or reschedule your booking within the 48 hours. We are holding the jet skis for you and/or your group.
Refunds will only be issued if the weather does not allow us to operate. We will not run your tour in lightning or bad weather.
Are there any additional costs?
All customers will be required to complete 1 of 2 options for jet skis only:
- purchase a $25 damage waiver
- or place a refundable $500 damage deposit on a credit card upon arrival
All rentals/tours include renters insurance in order to cover potential damages and liability. This will be included in your total cost.
How does pricing work?
Prices are per jet ski and start at $140 per jet ski. You can ride by yourself or bring 2 additional passengers, not to exceed 400 lbs total.
